Adelaide Fringe 2020 was officially launched on the 28th of November in 2019 by the Hon. Steven Marshall, Premier of South Australia and Adelaide Fringe Director, Heather Croall, with a cast of spinning diamonds, fire eaters, performance artists and even a dinosaur, it was a wonderful start to this iconic festival.
Monkeystack are excited to be part of this 60 year celebration – in a really big way!
We are incredibly proud to be part of the Adelaide Fringe signature event, bringing Yabarra – Dreaming in Light to life at Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute. We have been working closely with Karl ‘Winda’ Telfer and Yellaka (we worked with him at MOD producing the Kuarna Seasons interactive), Epson Australia, Novatech and other creative partners to build one of the largest projected immersive stories in South Australia. It’s a creative and cultural experience meant to engage, immerse, and educate all who share the dreaming in the light.
Dreaming in Light follows on from the Adelaide Fringe 2019 production of Yabarra: Gathering of Light – which featured light and sound artworks along the River Torrens at night. This year’s experience is FREE and will be launched on Friday the 14th of February at 9pm and then open from 10am to 10pm every day of the Fringe.
